Do You Recognize That “Superhero Mom” In YOUR Life?!

Do You Recognize That “Superhero Mom” In YOUR Life?!

Do You Recognize That “Superhero Mom” In YOUR Life?!  Superheroes come in all shapes, sizes, colors and genders. And – other than in the fantastical world of Marvel – rarely do they wear tights and capes… in fact, you may not even realize they’re all around us and chances are, you see them EVERY DAY!

But, if you look closely, you’ll see a golden aura that surrounds them – their “crowning glory,” if you will. So even though you may not see their superhero attire, you’ll be able to recognize them. They’re MOMS!   Sometimes they’re dressed in leggings, yoga pants or sweats; sometimes they wear business suits and dresses; sometimes they wear scrubs or uniforms; but they all have those unmistakable “Superhero Mom” powers. And don’t be fooled, these non-caped crusaders can also look like aunts or grandparents or dads or foster parents or siblings… or even neighbors, teachers or members of the clergy!

Regardless of what form they may take, you will recognize them by that undeniable bond that exists between “mothers” and their children. This innate “connection” is also why this upcoming Mother’s Day may be particularly difficult for every “Mom,” since they could be forced to be physically distant from their kids.  Yet, despite the current obstacles, these champions still manage to give us their best EVERY day… and science actually backs this up:

  • Women smile over twice as much as men, 77% to 35% – maybe because many of them are moms!
  • The average woman smiles about 62 times a day! Men? Only 8.
  • Human beings can differentiate between a genuinely “felt” smile and the “faked” social smile. The key is in the eyes – see… Moms really ARE mind-readers!
  • While we’re talking about those “faked smiles,” you should know that when you smile, your brain releases endorphins that make you feel better – and even a “fake” smile releases endorphins, so you can actually “fake it ‘til you make it!” FINALLY an explanation for how Moms manage to keep smiling through their days!
  • And, most importantly, Moms who may be worried about those “smile” lines the joys of motherhood bring, remember: It takes fewer muscles to smile than to frown, so step away from the Botox and take a look at the joy your love brings to your family every day!

Not only do Moms separated from their children feel the emotional heartache, they also feel this physically. But, just because you may not be able to give your Mom a hug or share a celebratory dinner with them for this unusual upcoming Mother’s Day, doesn’t mean you can’t show how much you appreciate YOUR superhero!

Instead of settling for a “doorstep drop” of a floral arrangement or some “commodity-of-the-month” gift this year, literally SHOW them how you feel!

With long-burning, colorful or large-scale sparklers, Mom can enjoy her own visual spectacular right outside the front window… right from the comfort and safety of home. And, if you don’t live nearby, we can directly ship a personalized “Sparkler Bouquet” to Mom. You can even share the joy in a live chat or video!

However, for some, Mother’s Day can be somewhat bittersweet since their Moms may have passed on… either recently, or many years before. And, we know you want to keep those cherished memories alive, and pass both the bits of wisdom and personal stories along to the next generation.

Consider this fun idea to enliven sharing your family history: A sparkler story circle! You start with one person, who first lights their sparkler and tells one quick memory of “Mom.” Before their sparkler goes out, they light the sparkler of the person next to them, who then shares. When you’ve gone around the circle, not only have you “sparked” some fond memories, but literally created a circle of light and love for Mom!

Honestly, EVERY superhero deserves to be surrounded by sparkling pyrotechnics?!? And that especially includes the “Superhero Mom” in YOUR life!
